I've created the People Power Programme specifically for small businesses, based on 20 years working with businesses like yours and proud, passionate business owners just like you.
Let's empower Your People to generate your business success - give them the tools to work as an effective team.
This Programme is designed to help small businesses who have a few employees - maybe 10, 20 or even 50 or more - not enough to have your own HR Manager.
In the Programme we focus on 3 areas:
1. Employment Law Compliance
2. Confidence, Performance and Team Relationships
3. Skills building
1. Employment Law Compliance
Contracts, policies and procedures which are solid, concise, workable and not full of jargon.
It's an essential foundation - and helps to avoid the horrors of the Employment Tribunal.
Now that Tribunal fees have been abolished, we're sadly back to the potential 'compensation culture' for some employees.
'3D Employment Law' - practical discussion/training on the 3D's of Discipline, Discrimination and Dismissal (and more). That can be anything that suits, whether that's advice, training or coaching for you - or for your managers.
2. Confidence, Performance and
Creating the mindset and harmony for a supportive and successful, friendly yet professional, business environment.
It starts with understanding how confident we feel, how we can give our self-esteem a boost, where needed, and dealing working under pressure and stress.
For some it's becoming more assertive. For others - those who are maybe a bit 'over-confident' - we can look at how to tone it down and avoid 'an atmosphere' or outright conflict.
Let's keep it assertive - not passive or aggressive.
3. Skills building
Training and coaching you and your team in the essential people and business skills that make all the difference to your work, both with colleagues and with clients/customers, to include:
communication, resolving/avoiding conflict and the oh-so-important art and science of improved negotiation - something we all do, all the time, so let's get better at it
the important differences and similarities between Leadership and Management - whether that's managing absence, performance, a team or the whole business
sales: for your face-to-face or telephone sales conversations, as well as pitching and presenting in a whole range of situations - that might be as simple as good customer care, so you can keep selling to your current customers, or looking at how to bring in new business through sales and networking

Weeks 4 & 5 - Managing Yourself and Others
Putting policies into practice and understanding the procedures that you need to follow including essential areas such as how to motivate and manage emotions
Week 6 - Leading and Managing teams
The challenges of building groups into teams and keeping them on track and performing at a high level, managing absence, conflict and fair treatment across the team.
Week 7 - Team building
A half day ‘away day’ or workplace fun activity to help to understand the talents with in the team and build better team relationships.
We can add in telephone and email support between sessions if that would help.
This is a guide only, as the programme we design for you may vary from the above suggested outline as it is tailored to the needs of your business.
1-2-1 Mentoring and Coaching can be built into the People Power Programme, for you and your team.

The People Power Programme is entirely designed around your business.
I'll audit your contracts and policies for compliance and advise on updates and additions. If you don't have anything in place, I'll provide all that you need.
Then we'll look at probably 6 fortnightly training/coaching sessions for you and your managers/supervisors (individually and in groups) over a 3-month period.
Outline/suggested programme - but it's very flexible depending on what you need:
Week 1 - Employment Law and HR Audit and Update
Discussion after my audit and update - implementing 'contracts' and policies, with consultation
Weeks 2 & 3 - Employment Law Essential Outline
Implementing 'contracts' and policies, with consultation, helping you to understand and follow your legal obligations - jargon-free!
